DESCRIPTION. The BMW M Performance Power and Sound Kit provides an optimised power boost (265 kW) for the series engine in the 340i/340i xDrive. The new, performance-optimised engine update, coupled with the perfectly-tuned valve silencer system make the 340i/440i and 340i/440i xDrive an uncompromising sport experience for all the senses.

FEATURES. Improved acceleration, an impressive torque and a faster response are the improvements that drivers can feel immediately after installation. The acceleration values (from 0 to 100 km/h) are improved by 0.2 seconds.Inspirational driving performance, sporty dynamic co-ordination. The valve silencer system allows performance to be boosted to as much as 265 kW/500 Nm. This is an increase that provides inspiration and impresses with exceptional driving performance.

The excellent traction, even at high speeds, also allows powerful acceleration and creates a sporty and extremely agile driving experience.

Higher torque curve: Maximum 500 Nm at 1520 - 4800 rpm.

Higher power curve: Maximum 265 kW at 5500 rpm.

On cars with manual transmissions, a torque of only 480 Nm can be produced for component protection reasons.Comparable consumption despite higher performance: The fuel consumption and emissions levels in the ECE driving cycle correspond to those of the standard engine, despite the significantly greater performance.

The performance at a glance: The sport display in the iDrive monitor is adapted to higher performance and the higher torque. A clear competitive advantage for BMW.

When the full potential of the M Performance Power and Sound Kit is being harnessed, the seriesbrake system can be subjected to higher thermal stresses. During exceptionally sporty driving, we therefore recommend the installation of a larger M Performance brake system that is designed to cope with greater thermal stresses.
